When your test balance runs low, it's automatically recharged at your tier rate via Stripe. You can manage auto top-up from your dashboard — update your payment method, adjust the quantity, or switch it off at any time.

Yes. The AVILOO Box tests both full battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. Coverage spans 96%+ of EV brands^¹ — virtually every EV and PHEV on UK and Irish roads.

For the most accurate results, the vehicle should be charged to at least 80% state of charge. For vehicles with LFP battery chemistry (common in some Tesla models and Chinese-brand EVs like BYD), aim for 95%. Your AVILOO dashboard guides you through this before each test.

That's entirely up to you. The certificate is yours to use as you see fit. That said, over 60% of used EV buyers now ask for battery health information before committing to a purchase — so sharing it is increasingly expected and a proven way to close faster at a higher price.

The certificate records the battery's condition at the exact time of testing — it's an independently verified snapshot. There's no formal expiry. For maximum buyer confidence, test as close to point of sale as practical.

The annual licence covers the AVILOO Box hardware shipped to your dealership, an integrated SIM for connectivity, all software updates, and a replacement unit at no charge if there's a fault that isn't your doing. Just keep the Box connected to power and ensure a mobile signal at your site.
