Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply when you book an independent EV battery health test through Battery Health Check. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. If you book a test, you accept these terms.

Battery Health Check is a trading name of Battery Health Check Limited, a company registered in Ireland (CRO 813317, VAT IE4720641SH), registered office 1 Ontario Terrace, Ranelagh, Dublin, D06 H2W9, Ireland.

1. What we provide

We arrange an independent, TÜV Certified AVILOO battery health test for your electric vehicle, carried out by an approved tester. The test produces a battery health certificate issued by AVILOO. We coordinate the test; we are an authorised AVILOO partner, not AVILOO itself.

2. Booking

When you submit a booking you are making a request. A contract is formed only once we confirm your test and arrange a tester. We will contact you to confirm details, timing and location. We arrange coverage across the UK and Ireland and match you to an approved tester near you; we cannot guarantee a specific date, time or location until we confirm it.

3. Payment

The certified test is £100, paid directly to your approved tester on the day of the test. We do not collect payment when you book, and nothing is payable to book. The tester will confirm the accepted payment methods.

4. Cancelling or rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule at any time before your test by contacting us at info@batteryhealthcheck.co.uk. Because no payment is taken at booking, there is no charge to cancel before a test is carried out. We ask for reasonable notice so we can free up the tester's time. If you need to change a confirmed appointment, contact us as early as you can.

5. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. If you are a consumer entering into a distance contract, you may have a right to cancel within a statutory cooling-off period. As no payment is taken at booking and the test is carried out by arrangement, cancelling before the test is straightforward and free. Your rights under applicable consumer law, including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 for UK consumers, are not excluded or limited by these terms.

6. What the test and certificate cover

The AVILOO battery test reports the condition, or State of Health, of the traction battery at the time of testing. It is important to understand its scope:

  • It is a snapshot at the time of the test. It does not forecast future battery health or lifespan.
  • It is not a mechanical or electrical safety inspection, and does not check for physical damage.
  • It is a stationary diagnostic and cannot detect every fault, including some that only appear while driving or charging.
  • The certificate is issued by AVILOO GmbH and cannot be altered by us.

The certificate gives you an accurate, independently verified measurement of battery health on the day of the test, which is exactly what it is designed to do.

7. The AVILOO Battery Warranty

A qualifying test may include the AVILOO Battery Warranty at no extra cost. Eligibility is decided by AVILOO at the time of the test, and the warranty is provided by AVILOO under its own terms and conditions. Cover, exclusions, claims and payment are governed entirely by AVILOO's Battery Warranty terms and conditions. Please read them for the full detail of what is and is not covered.

8. Complaints

We want you to be happy with the service. If something has gone wrong, email us at info@batteryhealthcheck.co.uk with your booking details and what happened. We will acknowledge your complaint and work with you to put it right. Where a complaint concerns the AVILOO test result, the certificate or the warranty, we will help you raise it with AVILOO, who issues those.

9. Liability

We provide the coordination service with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for the accuracy of the AVILOO test result or certificate, which are produced by AVILOO, nor for the condition of any vehicle. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

10. Data protection

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. We share what is necessary with your approved tester and with AVILOO to arrange and carry out the test and to issue the certificate and any warranty.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If you are a consumer resident in the UK, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live. For anything about your booking or these terms, contact us at info@batteryhealthcheck.co.uk.
