One line

Battery Health Check is an independent provider giving dealers and drivers in the UK and Ireland access to AVILOO's TÜV Certified battery health tests for used electric cars.

About Battery Health Check

Battery Health Check is an independent provider giving dealers and drivers in the UK and Ireland access to AVILOO battery health tests for used electric cars. AVILOO's TÜV Certified test takes 3 minutes through the car's diagnostic port and measures the traction battery's state of health. Every certificate is issued by AVILOO and can't be edited by the dealer or by us. Battery Health Check Limited is registered in Ireland and is an authorised AVILOO distributor for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

When you quote a result

AVILOO battery tests report the condition of the traction battery at the time of testing. Test results do not provide forecasts about future battery health and do not include mechanical or electrical safety inspections.

Do

  • Battery Health Check, written in full
  • "AVILOO battery testing, provided by Battery Health Check"
  • "Authorised AVILOO distributor for the UK and Ireland"
  • "Powered by AVILOO technology"
  • AVILOO in capitals
  • TÜV Certified for the test method
  • Show the certificate as it's issued

Don't

  • Present yourself or us as AVILOO
  • Describe a battery as "as new", "perfect" or "guaranteed"

AVILOO's name, logo and seal belong to AVILOO GmbH. They aren't part of this kit, and we can't give permission to use them.

Battery results in your adverts

34% of car buyers cite battery health as a key barrier to switching to electric (Auto Trader, December 2025). Where the result can go depends on where the advert runs: marketplaces keep photos clean, while social posts and your own website can carry it on the image.

Battery health 95.3% (Sep 26)

Description

Battery tested 29 September 2026 with Battery Health Check: state of health 95.3% (Excellent). Every battery check the test reported was OK. The figure describes the battery on the test date.

Swap in your car's figure, grade and test date from its certificate. Leave out the second sentence unless every check on the certificate was OK.

Rules for any battery claim, on an image or in text

  1. Only on the car that was tested. Never on another car, even the same model.
  2. Always with the test date. A result describes the battery on that day.
  3. The figure as tested. One decimal place, never rounded up: 95.38% is 95.3%, not 95.4% or 96%.
  4. Use the car's latest test. If it has been tested again, the newer result replaces the old one.
  5. Keep the car in view. The result sits beside the photo, not across the car or its plate.
  6. The certificate as issued. Show the certificate as it's issued.
Before you publish: check every figure, date and vehicle detail against the car's certificate. You're responsible for your adverts, and for following each site's current rules.

Show results on your own website

With a read-only Partner API key, your website can show each car's state of health and certificate image on its listing page, looked up by VIN.
