EV Battery Certification for Irish Car Dealers

Under section 22(1) of Ireland's Consumer Rights Act 2022, a fault that becomes apparent within 12 months of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless the contrary is proven or the presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or of the fault. In the UK, the period is six months (Consumer Rights Act 2015, s.19(14)). If a car did not conform to the contract at delivery, the buyer's short-term right to terminate the contract lasts 30 days from delivery (section 24). A certificate dated the day of sale records the battery's condition then.

• Buy test bundles upfront, top up when you need more. Bundle sizes are per monthly order. Unused tests carry forward.
• The AVILOO Box licence is €408 a year, on a 12-month agreement that renews each year unless either side gives 90 days' notice.
• All prices ex VAT. Irish VAT at 23% is added to invoices.
